Version: 1.0 Effective date: 14 April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Jose Colombo, sole proprietor, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "Cibario"). They govern your use of the Cibario iOS app and related services (the "Service").
Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use Cibario.
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Cibario, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy at https://cibario.app/privacy.
If you are using Cibario on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have their authority to do so.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Cibario. The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we will delete any account that we believe belongs to a child under 13.
At launch, Cibario is offered only to users in the United Kingdom and the European Union. If you use the app from outside these regions, you do so at your own risk and on an as-is basis.
The only way to log in is Sign in with Apple. By signing in, you authorise Apple to share your Apple user identifier and email address (or Apple's private-relay email) with us for the purpose of creating and maintaining your account.
You must not create more than one account, share your account, or let anyone else use your account.
Cibario is a photo-based food diary. You take a picture of a meal, our AI attempts to identify the food and estimate nutritional content, and the entry is saved to your personal log.
The app is currently free to use and contains no in-app purchases. We may introduce paid features in future; if we do, we will give you advance notice and you will never be charged without your explicit consent.
We may change, improve, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of anything significant.
When you use Cibario, you agree:
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms (see section 9).
Cibario — the app, its name, branding, design, source code, and underlying systems — is owned by Jose Colombo and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.
Your food log entries and photos remain yours. You keep all ownership rights to the content you create in Cibario.
To run the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing Cibario to you (for example: storing your log entries in our database and sending your photos to our AI sub-processor for food identification).
This licence ends when you delete the content or delete your account. We do not use your content to train any AI model, and we do not sell or share it with advertisers.
Cibario is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.
Food identification and macro estimates are produced by artificial intelligence and are approximate. They can be wrong. They are intended for general self-tracking only, and must not be used as the basis for any medical decision or for managing a clinical condition (including but not limited to diabetes, eating disorders, allergies, pregnancy, kidney disease, or weight-dependent medication dosing).
If you have a health condition, are pregnant, are responsible for the nutrition of a child, or are making any decision that affects your health, consult a qualified healthcare professional. Do not rely on Cibario.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, except to the extent such warranties cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:
Subject to the above, to the maximum extent permitted by law:
Because Cibario is currently offered free of charge, you acknowledge that this cap reflects a fair allocation of risk between us.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in this section.
Your use of Cibario is also governed by our Privacy Policy at https://cibario.app/privacy, which explains what data we collect and how we handle it. By using the Service you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.
You can stop using Cibario at any time. You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Hard deletion is completed within 30 days, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if: - you materially breach these Terms; - we are required to do so by law; - continuing to provide the Service to you would expose us to legal, security, or financial risk; or - we discontinue the Service entirely.
Where it is reasonable to do so, we will give you notice before suspending or terminating, and an opportunity to export your data.
Sections 5 (Intellectual property), 6 (Disclaimer), 7 (Limitation of liability), 10 (Governing law) and 12 (Contact) survive termination.
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and mandatory consumer-protection laws of that country will still apply to you.
We may change these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect changes to the Service, to the law, or to our sub-processors.
When we do, we will: - Update the version number and effective date at the top of this page. - Show you an in-app banner the next time you open Cibario. - For material changes, email you at your registered address and give you a reasonable opportunity to review the changes before they take effect.
If you do not agree with a change, your remedy is to stop using the Service and delete your account.
